Not much of a diary writer, but I'd like to throw down some thoughts about this weekend and into Tuesday.
The GOP's last ditch effort to win voters by screaming "Democrats will raise your taxes!"
We've seen it a few times these past few days, where the most desperate Republican has been trying to get people to fear taxes again. In a way, it shows how the Republican agenda has always been sold through fear.
FEAR OF RASING TAXES has been the gop staple for years and they got lucky that the could get more intensity out of fearing death from terrorists. So much so, that they've managed to win twice with it, when it was obviously not a good decision by, nor in the best interests of, the American voters.
Bush is screaming taxes today:
President Bush devoted his last national radio address before critical elections to the economy, telling voters that a Democrat Congress would hit their pocketbooks.
"Democrats are still determined to raise taxes," Bush said from a coffee shop in Englewood, Colorado, in an unusual televised version of his weekly speech.
This is pathetic. We've heard this for decades. It worked granted, but the script has changed. THEY CHANGED IT. It's all about terrorists. Death. Dirty bombs. Deadly liquids on planes. Color codes.
Oh that doesn't sell anymore.... Back to taxes.
INCOMPETENT. NO DOMESTIC POLICY. CRIMINALS.
So what other desperate Republican is retreating from his rotting enclave of corruption and graft hoisted up by shameless propaganda?
Conrad Burns latest offensive ad:

Tester the Taxer, eh?
Hopefully, people don't fall for this shit.
How could they? Real money is pissed away on Iraq every second (not to mention lives, but they are talking dough, huh?).
THings are just really pathetic and desperate for the GOP. I realize I keep going back to those words, but those are the only that don't fail me...
I hope we are in the throes of a real American, bloodless coup d'etat here...
After all, it can't get worse in the country without real blood.
